Sure, this luxury landmark may look all sunny and fun, but it hides a troubled past. The Biltmore roared in the '20s, filled with gorgeous bon vivants, celebrities, and gangsters who didn't pay their debts. One Thomas “Fatty” Walsh is still seen roaming the revamped property, a mobster who was killed at the hotel in 1929 over a pretty bad gamble.
