"Bungalow 8 is nothing more than an old building in Chelsea, with potted palmetto trees, faded black and white striped/polka dotted booths, and painted walls that are supposed to make you feel like you are in a cottage at the Beverly Hills Hotel. The “No Vacancy” sign over its door is to remind you that there’s no room for you…unless of course there is, which is entirely up to Disco. The location and decor are irrelevant at this point…because it is the people that bring those walls to life that have made Sacco’s creation a legendary institution." Somethings been swirling around Night Life Land the past couple of weeks that has left us just BESIDES ourselves...we hear that a Bungalow 8 revival is not only in the works, but has been slowly forming as we speak.
First, there was talk surrounding me about DJ Nick Cohen taking over the old booth upstairs, hoping to bring his gang along with him; and then, this Saturday, I find out I miss a reunion/birthday party that would have made even Zelda proud.
The excitement of even TALKING about Bungalow becoming hot again leaves us dizzy. So, we will be doing everything we can to help keep the ball rolling, starting with a survey on your best memories from the infamous Bungalow 8....send them to stanley@guestofaguest.com and we will pick our favorite as a post each day this week.
