If you're staying around midtown and don't feel like making it quite downtown, the Breslin is a good alternative. Voted as the best breakfast in NY Mag in 2010, it won't be hard to see why April Bloomfield and Ken Friedman’s spot inside the ACE Hotel is a fine choice to start your morning. There's a good chance you'll bump into some tech friendly folks (like Tumblr founder David Karp), or writers from Paper Magazine. Both hold offices in the neighborhood. Bonus! They serve up Stumptown coffee!
