Karl Lagerfeld, Kaiser of fashion, is no stranger to peaceful protest. Back in 2014, the designer took politics to the runway, staging a feminist rally at his Spring 2015 show, replete with signs and chants. In the wake of the global Women's March, the sentiment was much more subtle at Chanel's Haute Couture show in Paris, but no less inspiring. Sending powerful looks for powerful women down the catwalk, Lagerfeld played up the feminine spirit with romantic yet militant looks, frilly, pink, and proud. Models including Kendall Jenner, Bella Hadid, and Lily-Rose Depp as his finale bride, were fierce and sexy in the stunning creations, showing just how multifaceted modern women could be.
