With a collection that showed a lot of black and a lot of skin, Valentino Haute Couture had Italian Heritage written all over it. Imperial capes, gladiator-like skirts, one-shoulder dresses and headpieces, every little detail felt extremely Roman with a modern twist.
Pierpaolo Piccioli and Maria Grazia Chiuri, the creative directors behind Valentino, definitely deserved to be the ones to close Couture Week. Sensual, elegant and magnificent, this show will not be forgotten anytime soon.
