This temporarily dormant spot has been restored to its former grandeur after a design team of 800 got its hands on it for four whole years. Led by interior designer Thierry Despont, the crew included stonemasons, upholsterers, and even guilders that busily dedicated their expertise to making this historic hotel as decadently fab as possible.

Though Fitzgerald and Hemingway no longer troll the bar and Coco Chanel no longer saunters from her suite to her across-the-street office, these icons' legacies certainly linger in the awe-inducing halls. As such, a stay will be like being Owen Wilson in Midnight in Paris, minus the navel-gazing and the grating voice. Plus, the Ritz Paris has also released a promo video that promises, among many things, a free minty drink, a forest dining room, and a well-suited handsome man to play hide-and-go-seek with. Click through to take in the la vie en rose, sans voyage.
