If you're still flailing at 50 you should consider locking down a real job before you retire, but until then, go ahead and take the job as barista in a pop-up shop/performance art space, start your own line of artisanal soaps, or attempt to become an Instagram celebrity. No one looks back on their days working as an investment banker and says, "God, I loved that job."
