Japanese Hipsters

Japanese Hipsters
The hipster fashion has caught on in certain neighborhoods around Tokyo. These neighborhoods have "shoutengais," which are shopping alleys scattered with used clothing stores, small fashion boutiques, and private art galleries. The hipster crowd tends to gather in these "shoutengais," as there are a slew of local Japanese bars and restaurants. These areas are similar to neighborhoods in Brooklyn such as Williamsburg, where young, creative thinkers come to get away from the mainstream crowd. Go HERE for our guide to Williamsburg. Go HERE to find out where other hipsters in the world reside. [Photo via] [Photo via]
