Staying At The ICEHOTEL: Jukkasjarvi, Sweden

Each year between December and April, you can spend the night in the amazing yet chilly ICEHOTEL. The temperature of this glamorous hotel never drops below –5 to -8ºC, even though the outside temperature can reach as low as -30º. In November of each year, a team of builders begin reconstructing the magnificent hotel with ice collected from the nearby Torne River. The ICEHOTEL has its own restaurant, church, main hall, reception area, rooms and suites to accommodate over 100 guests, and bar that serves only the best vodka chilled. All the furniture is sculpted blocks of ice in the form of chairs and beds. The guest rooms include beautiful artwork made from snow and ice as well as a bed adorned with genuine reindeer skins, which you sleep on top of in a thermal sleeping bag.
