The Algonquin Hotel

Algonquin Hotel, New York
The Algonquin has undergone a multi-million dollar renovation since first opening in 1902, but the hotel is still steeped in history from its days of hosting the famed Algonquin Round Table. In 1919, notorious NY literary figures (including Dorothy Parker) held daily meetings at the Algonquin, where they would discuss significant literary styles of the time. You can still request to dine at the actual round table where the meetings were held, and to this day all guests receive a free copy of The New Yorker.
