The best restaurants in Macau are the local Portuguese restaurants found in the “older” parts of Macau. Here, one of the staples, called Fernando’s, dominates. A simple, home-style Portuguese restaurant that takes no reservations, Fernando’s is a pretty cool joint as it pretty much wears the ‘we know what we have to offer, so we don’t really care’ attitude. Of course, sometimes that translates to mediocre service, but sometimes a little attitude is what gives a place character—and Fernando’s has tons of it.
