Pool Parties
Summer sees the arrival of pool parties which is less discriminatory towards women. Pool parties start early in the day where innocent cocktails and glasses of wine slowly evolve into bottles of Champagne, Greygoose, and Patron. It is almost guaranteed that as soon as the sun sets, etiquette and civility is traded for bottle swigging and miscellaneous activities in the pool which loosely translates to “people should not get into the pool after the sun sets”. Throngs of Hong Kong expats congregate at the Venetian which has traditionally hosted Hed Kandi parties throughout the summer, or Splash at the Hard Rock pool where its inaugural party last year was hosted by the King of Crunk and the master of auto tune, Lil’ Jon and T-Pain.
