McDonald's Sweet Taro Pie, China
Thought the American cardboard box apple pies were horrifying? Meet their creepy Chinese cousin.
Taro, a starchy, Chinese root vegetable, is shoved inside a deep-fried, crusty pocket, somehow presented as a dessert, and the crowd goes wild.
Similar to a Hot Pocket, except filled with a lavendar-hued soupy mixture, the Taro pie is a feast for the eyes. Only the eyes.
