The McAfrica

McDonald's McAfrika, Norway
You know what a country with widespread famine, genocide, civil war, and AIDS needs? A burger. In 2002, Ronald McDonald released the "McAfrika" in homage to the 12 million starving in said country.  A sandwich of beef, cheese, tomato, served between pita-like bread, the politically-incorrect burger was only available in Norway for a limited amount of time. Because an African burger served in a McDonald's Norway makes complete sense. And just in case people didn't quite follow the reasoning the first time 'round, McDonald's brought it back in 2008 for the Olympic Games. Up next? The McHolocaust. [Photo via]
