Brooklyn artist Jennie C. Jones has an installation opening this weekend at the Hirshhorn which combines music and architecture. Jones remixes clips from African-American artists with loops and microsampling, then plays them out on minimalist "Acoustic Paintings," which bend the sounds the way she wants the listener to experience them.
