Broken Gulf: A Benefit for the LA Bucket Brigade
Featuring Mississippi Poet Angela Ball, New Orleans and DC poet Sonya Renee. Plus live music and raffle!
The Louisiana Bucket Brigade (www.labucketbrigade.org) is a nonprofit 501(c)3 environmental health and justice organization tracking the impact of the BP Oil Spill and preventing the impact from being “swept under the rug.” Come, show your support, enjoy great poetry, music, and food. Check out a great raffle with donated items by ACKC, Fiddleheads, and more. Raise your voice and spread the word! Grassroots organizations like the Bucket Brigade need our help more than ever as they fight to preserve the cultural and environmental diversity of the fragile Gulf.
Sponsored By: Split This Rock, Eatonville, and the Institute for Policy Studies
