Mockingbird Hill - 1843 7th Street NW
Mockingbird Hill opened earlier this month, and urges customers to "Drink More Sherry" and "Eat More Ham." Indeed, Sherry (which must come from the south of Spain) and ham pairings are what this restaurant does best, with over 50 Sherries to choose from. The new spot, located near the U Street Corridor on the Howard U side, is only open for dinner (...for now? We'll see).
It was opened June 7 by Derek Brown, the same gentleman behind The Passenger and the Columbia Room.
