Ollie's Trolley - 425 12th Street NW
As a rule of thumb, I generally avoid District restaurants that usually cater towards the hoards of tourists that swarm the city at any given time. Yet, it is undeniable that this family-owned eatery makes one hell of a burger worthy of a local's tastebuds. Ollie's Trolley is a great dining choice when entertaining out-of-town guests any time of year, as they can be relied on for greasy (but delicious) bites and a casual diner atmosphere. (Their close proximity to the National Mall and Smithsonian museums doesn't hurt, either.)
