Although this high-end restaurant and bar in Penn Quarter wouldn't necessarily be the first thing one would think of when looking for a greasy spoon, given their wide array of gooey comfort foods, Washingtonians may want to reconsider. The Passenger boasts delicious dishes designed to draw crowds for every meal, but their infamous Mac and Cheese in undoubtedly the guiltiest pleasure on the menu. Worth every bite (and calorie), this Chinatown dining venue miraculously manages to make chowing down classy--a combination no true District resident can resist.
