On September 11th, 2012, fabulous fans of DC's sassiest blog, A Diva State of Mind, came together at the Ozio rooftop in celebration of the site's three year anniversary. The lifestyle blog focuses on helping women develop their personal style without breaking the bank.
Over 150 guests sipped on Qrean and Ciroc cocktails and partied to the beats of DJ Eskada. The first 50 patrons to arrive at the event scored gift bags filled with goodies from the blog's sponsors, which include Kiehls, Stella & Dot, Naveh Cosmetics, AVEDA, LifeKit, Gigee Marie, Mdurvwa Collection, Roan + Field Skin Care, and Farrah's Exclusive Travels.
In addition to being the blog's birthday bash, the event also served as a fundraiser for Dress For Success DC. This non-profit organization supports women re-entering the workforce through wardrobe suiting, resume writing and the Professional Women's Network. Guests were able to shop Stella & Dot and Mdurwa Collection, and a portion of the sales were donated to the charity. Dress For Success also collected clothing and monetary donations at the event, and had a sign-up sheet for people interested in volunteering.
