Movie producer and million-heir Steve Bing rescinded his $2.5 million promised donation to his alma mater, Stanford. He was outraged when he found out the university accepted $100 million from Exxon, apparently for climate research.
"We think that people who give to Stanford do so because they want to help the future leaders of this nation, not because they want to advance the agenda of Exxon Mobil," said Yusef Robb, who works with Bing on climate issues.
