The Daily DishWhy did you decide to open a restaurant in Silver Spring, MD as opposed to other parts of Maryland or in DC? It was 2009, and the economy was tanking. Restaurants were particularly affected. The opportunity to purchase our space came up. We liked the friendly neighborhood. It did take about three years, however, for us to really get into our groove. Now many of our customers from the neighborhood are like family, and Jerry lives two minutes away.
