It is no secret that when one's late-night plans involve a trip to Adams Morgan, a scandalously eventful evening is practically guaranteed. Lightweights beware: Dan's Cafe is an awesomely rowdy dive bar that heavily compensates in character for what it lacks in physical space. Being small and boarded up during off hours makes this cash-only bar easy to miss during the day, but the long line of eager patrons on the weekends makes Dan's Cafe impossible to ignore at night.
Washingtonians know that this loveable shanty of a watering hole is well worth the wait, however. Dan's Cafe is infamous for their shots served in condiment squirt bottles complete with glassware, allowing guests to pour their own shots with often highly intoxicating results.
