Other Details: We rarely award superlatives, but this was once again the best tasting event of the year in DC. Over 60 restaurants put forth their best samples on Wednesday night, which were polished off by over 2,000 guests over a course of three or four hours (depending on which level your ticket was). The event was outfitted with an "All Aboard/Bon Voyage" theme, with hot air balloons floating in the sky, cocktail waitresses dressed as air stewardesses, pilots working the bars, two young ladies serving hot dumplings out of an airplane drinks cart and other whimsical surprises.
