Other details: Fifth generation Washingtonian and CEO of VinoLovers, Justin Harrison sought to expand the wine experience in a more innovating way by supplementing it with a wonderful ambiance, music, and delicious food. Thus, VinoFest came to life and delivered! On Saturday, May 9th, VinoFest provided an unforgettable experience curated a variety of food trucks such as Straw Stick & Brick Delicatessen with savory charcuterie boards and Red Hook Lobster Pound DC with their fresh lobster rolls. The back of the festival hosted the wine tastings where local VA wineries showcased their wines as well as wines from classic wine regions such as South Africa, Italy, France, CA, and some lesser known wine regions: Brazil, Romania, and Greece. After a few tastings, the crowd, ranging from neighbors to current VinoLover members, danced the rest of the evening away to beats by DJ Neekola and live performances by bands such as White Ford Bronco and Questlove! To top it off, the festival proceeds benefited great causes such as DC Central Kitchen, Make-A-Wish Mid-Atlantic, and Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship.
