"Ever After" Fashion Show at the Graham Hotel

Where: The Graham Hotel Other Details: Guests just missed the rain and enjoyed a lovely Saturday afternoon on the roof of the Graham to see yours truly emcee an afternoon of enchanted fashions by Tsyndyma Kroujilov and Brimble & Clark, worn by beauty queens and models. Suggested donations benefited Becky's Fund, which combats domestic violence. The show also featured jewelry by Alberto Parada,  Liz O Studio and Vivian Cavalieri, and fancy hats and fascinators by Melissa Vap. Backstage Boobies: Backstage, there was no shortage of chicken cutlets as the beauty queens got ready to model in John Paul Hamilton's last fashion show, as well as large makeup trays usually reserved for brides on their wedding day. All of the girls--including Miss Maryland Teen USA Hannah Brewer Dell, 15, Miss City of Alexandria Teen 2013 Julia Kauffman, and Miss District of Columbia, Allyn Rose, 25--were covered in mini dresses and robes between fittings, but troubled Miss Virginia USA 2011 Nikki Poteet was more than comfortable with her body, causing the budding role models in the room to shift awkwardly for a long hour and a half to dodge glances of her--gasp--nipple ring. Ms. Poteet’s naked backstage bare-all was accompanied by a performance of loud gloating about the headgames she plays with her latest beau. Poteet was arrested earlier this year for assault and battery (the charges were ultimately dismissed).
