Pat Nixon: 1971 'Gold Foil And Angels'
The 1971 theme,
Gold Foils And Angels, was somewhat a continuation of Pat Nixon's original 1969 theme,
State Flower Balls. From 1969 to 1971, First Lady Nixon kept the state flower balls theme and made additions: velvet and satin ornaments with craft flowers in 1969, adding gold foil fans in 1970, and in 1971, adding "a bit of glitz and gold."
