Why we love it: Situated in a charming town house in the heart of Old Town Alexandria, Magnolia's On King serves up delicious southern-style immersion comfort food along with signature craft cocktails. Some of our favorite dishes include Smoked Chicken Pot Pie with house smoked chicken, haricot vert, sage, rainbow carrots and peas; Pan Seared Duck Breast with duck fat and butter poached maple leaf duck breast, whipped potato gratin, white truffle, bacon crème, wild mushroom, bread pudding and caramelized shallots; Redfish and Grits with smoked cheddar grits, maple bourbon butter and scallion; and more.
