X-Files Returns Tonight: Do You Still Believe?

This is in my top 3 scariest X-Files episodes, and one of the better stand-alone, monster of the week X-Files episodes period. “Die Hand Die Verletzt” translates from German to “The Hand That Wounds” and follows Mulder and Scully to Milford Falls, New Hampshire to investigate the death of a teenager by a seemingly satanic ritual . We soon discover that the faculty of Mildford Falls’ highschool are all devil worshipers, who summon Satan’s powers to thwart Mulder and Scully at every turn. This episode scared me when it aired as I was a high school freshman who was all too ready to believe that my teachers were secretly satanists using witchcraft to keep my algebra grades low.
