The rooms lining the basement hall to the dinner are always occupied by media hosting their pre-dinner receptions. Celebs often run to-and-fro to catch the different receptions.

At the Washington Post reception, we spotted Amy Argetsinger, Marcus Brauchli, Darren Criss, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Donald Graham, Eva Longoria, Danielle Panabaker, Roxanne Roberts, Rachel Sklar, Kate Upton, and Katharine Weymouth in the crowd. Lally Weymouth brought her guest Kate Hudson (and the guest of her guest, Kate's musician boyfriend Matthew Bellamy) in the last few minutes of the reception.
