Your sketches have this cheeky, quick-stroked elegance to them. What often comes first for you when sketching - color or form?
When I’m sketching, it’s the form – it’s all about getting the line right. Sometimes I’ll achieve what I want right away, in a few seconds. Other times I’ll try 5, 10, 20 times before the right thing just flows and a face, say, will look just how I want it to.
