Guest or host?
Again, both! I love to host – we throw a Christmas party at our apartment every year and I like nothing more than spending a few days preparing for it – buying a tree, hanging lights, making (or more likely shopping for) mince pies and sloe gin. I like having people over to our place and cooking, but it’s nice to be invited over to other people’s places too, of course. It’s always interesting to see how different people host. I reckon the key is actually not to fuss too much. I mean, it can be fun spending three days making vols-au-vent, then sitting down to a glittering candlelit dinner, but it can be just as much fun gathering everyone together, ordering pizza and watching Eurovision.
