What do your parents and family think of this big business that you’ve created?
[“This print is by this awesome Australian brand Kym Ellery. They made a book of beautiful prints, and that’s what it came in.”]
What do your parents and family think of this big business that you’ve created?
Leandra: “They’re really proud, but I think a lot of that has to do with the fact that I’ve seen success - you know everyone is proud when someone they know is doing something important, but I don’t know, I feel like if I was just doing it to do it, and not really getting anywhere, they would easily tell me that I needed a real job – get your ass off the internet!”
Ha. And you come from this very traditional strict Jewish environment?
“Yeah but my parents were always super super supportive, I always say that it was like reverse feminist. My mom was like ‘I need to teach you how to cook’ and my dad was like: ‘Forget that. You’re going to be a corporate girl, don’t even think about getting married it’s not for you. You are gonna make BIG dollars just being you.’”
That’s great.
“Yeah it’s funny.”
And do you have siblings?
“I have three brothers. One older, and two younger. We’re very close.”
