Danica Phelps, "The Cost of Love"

For those going through a rough break-up, Danica Phelps’ exhibition, “The Cost of Love,” which opened last night at Brennan & Griffin, may be the perfect stop on the road to recovery. Phelps chronicles the aftermath of a split with her girlfriend through text of court records, painted colored stripes graphing her dwindling finances, and structured code to illuminate loss in all it’s strange, mathematical parts.  Unlike love, the cost of this show is heartwarmingly free.
