Villains beware! The Dark Knight descends on New York's art world in streaks of blacks, whites, and silvers at the Friedrich Petzel Gallery.  "Batman Returns" is part of a series of works devoted to cartoon imagery by artist Joyce Pensato, which also includes homages to Homer Simpson, Groucho Marx, and Mickey Mouse. Stuffed animals and other cartoon paraphernalia are scattered throughout the gallery, adding yet another dimension to this already "animated" collection.
