Artist Molly Soda Talks Her Upcoming SXSW Oasis, "Into You"

Is asking a curator to talk about their favorite pieces like asking a parent to pick their favorite child?

What's your favorite part about Austin/its creative community?
I didn’t know a single person who lived in Austin when I came to SXSW last year. I didn’t even know where I was staying most of the time. I remember tweeting about needing a place to stay and got such an influx of messages from strangers, essentially offering me a place to crash, it was super touching. And, it wasn’t until I started hanging out with people who actually lived in Austin that I started to have fun at SXSW.

Everyone has been super welcoming and positive. ATM Gallery actually reached out to us this year when we were looking for a place to host “Into You” and it has been such a pleasure to work with them, seriously. So many local artists have shown interest in the event, and ATM has put together a great group of vendors that will be selling work at the event. I’m honestly just looking forward to meeting more people and getting to know the city a bit better, now that my priorities are more in line this year.
