Justify My Love

Justify My Love
In 1990, Madge got her first video, "Justify My Love,"  banned from MTV. With S&M role play and nudity, MTV claimed it was too sexually charged. Madonna stood up herself mentioning how hypocritical this ban was considering male artists were able to put sexist and violent imagery in their videos. Mark Bego, Madonna's biographer, commented on the issue, saying:
"Throwing a scandal Madonna's way is like throwing gasoline on a fire."
In the end, Madonna's label, Warner Bros., had the last word when the video was released as a video single. [Photo via]
