Daily Style Phile: Star Wars Siren Daisy Ridley

Gracing the cover of the December 2015 issue of Elle magazine, -Ridley opened up to the fashion publication on how difficult it was to keep the Star Wars secret, saying, "I couldn't tell any of my friends," she continues. "I told my mum and my sisters— then my sister told her boyfriend, and my mum told her friend. I was like, 'Great, guys—you are great.'" -Ridley will play Rey, the first ever female protagonist in the four-decade long Star Wars saga. -More than just setting firsts, Ridley believes that her character can also be a role model to young girls. She tells Elle, "[Rey is] so strong. She's cool and smart and she can look after herself. Young girls can look at her and know that they can wear trousers if they want to," Ridley promises.
