Conclusion

After this in-depth analysis of Doonan's statement, we're not so sure as to its legitimacy. Surely, there are some dictators who understand and use their sartorial freedom and try to create a more inclusive garb for statesmen. On the other hand, there are many, who mostly waste their time on civil wars, executions and getting hold of nuclear weapons.

Simultaniously, there are democratically elected heads of state who know how to make a fashionable statement, or who have assigned that task to their (only) wife. Although we'd love to see Obama in that "cotton khaki suit with flat front pants and aviators" which Doonan mentioned.
