Ralph Lauren for Annie Hall

Ralph Lauren for Annie Hall
The boyish look made wildly popular by Diane Keaton in this '70s classic film is courtesy of American designer Ralph Lauren. Keaton claims that Allen's instructions to wear what she wanted for the film encouraged her to take inspiration from the fashionable women on the streets of Manhattan. Her take on New York City street style resulted in a Ralph Lauren style of boxy tailoring, wide trousers, and of course the famous man's tie soon seen on every fashion conscious woman around. Little bit of extra trivia: Ralph Lauren also lent his designs to the 1974 version of The Great Gatsby. Annie Hall Annie Hall [Photos via]
