The Krug Room

The Krug Room
The most coveted private dining table can be found at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel. Chef Uwe Opocensky’s creatively quirky but always delicious menu is complimented by the largest collection of Krug champagne outside of France—thus the lush namesake. Only seating 12, the Krug Room offers a set menu of food with different Krug pairings of your choice. As with any wonderful culinary journeys, an evening at the Krug Room comes with a hefty price tag. A dinner with two flutes of Krug starts at approximately US $300 and goes up to US $410 depending on which Krug experience you seek. Of course, the pricing can very easily sky rocket when magnums of Krug are added to the bill. That said, this molecular gastronomy gem is more classic than trendy, which is what keeps diners going back for more. It’s the perfect place to celebrate a more-than-just-special occasion, and it’s conservative enough in its creations that even those who are intimidated by molecular gastronomy will love this place.
