No Named 1938
Not to scare you or anything, but this was one mean no-named monster. It hit Long Island on September 21, 1938 with 160 mph sustained winds after storming the Bahamas and NYC. It caused storm surge flooding 3 miles inland on Long Island, destroying approximately 14,000 homes. Yikes. Good thing this storm wasn't named because I would be awfully embarrassed if we shared it.
