Secret Valentine, Secret Santa Style

All ladies, especially single ones, want to receive something on Valentine's Day. Why should women with boyfriends or husbands have all the fun?

I attended a wedding a few years ago where the couple requested that no one give them wedding presents because they were taking a year-long trip around the world and settling down in a different country afterward.

Instead, they had the guests buy small presents with a love theme, gave a spending limit, and threw a reception where everyone ended up exchanging gifts with each other, Secret Santa style.

This idea can be easily transferred to a Valentine's Day party. Invite a few of your single gal pals, set upon a theme (love/heartbreak/nothing to do with love or heartbreak), put a max-min spending limit, and go nuts. This year, you WILL get something on Valentine's Day.
