4. The collection of sculptures, drawings and photographs by Alina Szapocznikow at The Hammer depicts detached portions of the human body. With breasts on ashtrays and lips on lamps, the body parts are presented in a way that is just shy of sensual. Barely known outside her native Poland, this is Alina Szapocznikow's very first show stateside.
