
Almost entirely unsubstantiated rumors of The Rolling Stones playing Coachella have swirled around year after year in the months leading up to the release of the festival's official lineup. But with their recent 50th anniversary reunion shows and new greatest hits album, unconfirmed talk of a Coachella 2013 appearance has dialed up even higher on the blogosphere. Oh, and then there was that accidental tour date titled "Coachella 2013" for April posted on the band's mobile app last month that was swiftly deleted. Then yesterday, like most of their famously vague and mysterious social media updates, Coachella posted the above photo of a rock (or STONE!!!) in the middle of the festival grounds on their Facebook page with the message "Happy New Years [sic]! We're excited, hope you are too!" Hmm.....................................
