Since, 1992, photo l.a. has been a dedicated platform introducing, celebrating and honoring the rich landscape of Los Angeles photographers. This year's program includes a jam-packed weekend of docent tours of the works, panels, and lectures which kicked off with an annual opening gala last night. Hosted at photo l.a.'s all-new 60,000-square-foot expo floor of the LA Mart, this year's gala was loaded with special treats for guests, including food from Fred 62, Copenhagen Pastry, Cup My Cakez, specialty drinks from Chareau Aloe Liqueur, Saint James Spirits, Joia All-Natural Sodas, handmade products from Soaptopia, and DJ tunes provided by KCRW's Aaron Byrd.
