The 2014 photo l.a. exhibition honors legendary celebrity photographer Douglas Kirkland who's shot more that 2,000 assignments and worked with hundreds upon hundreds of famous faces, snapping everyone from Marilyn Monroe to Angelina Jolie. In fact, one of his more recent subjects, Elle Fanning, was on hand last night to help honor him at the gala with a special award. Between the star-studded presentation, DJ sets and nibbles, guests got a first look at this year's exhibition, the largest collection to date featuring the works of over 90 exhibitors both from L.A. and around the world. With proceeds from the gala benefiting the Inner-City Arts foundation, the night both celebrated L.A.'s current art scene while supporting its future. photo l.a. runs today through Sunday so be sure to purchase tickets and check it out this weekend.
