We've never made a secret of our abiding love for charity galas and parties for a cause, but even we can admit that some causes are more worthy than others. Sure, that foundation for cross-eyed Golden Retrievers in Santa Monica is making a positive difference or whatever, but there's really no comparison to a organization that helps real human beings in distress, right here in Los Angeles. That's why we're so impressed with the work that Inner-City Arts does providing a safe haven for some of L.A.'s most deserving kids right in the heart of Skid Row, and why we're thrilled that their Summer On 7th annual gala, which went down on Saturday, was a rousing success.
