Cactus
This is one of L.A.'s best taco joints and the fact that it's open til 3am Sunday through Thursday and til 4am Friday and Saturday is just an added bonus and blessing from the drunk food gods. This hut on Vine Street in Hollywood is exactly that: a hut where you walk up to a little window, order your food and pick it up along with your self-serve condiments, and seating consists of the cruddy picnic benches to the side of the parking lot. Therefore, it's a little more work than a diner booth you can just slump into, so it's not the place to come if your party is too shwasted to abide by the system. But a little extra work required for this place is totally worth their tacos. If you don't believe me, you should at least understand Cactus is legit from the grip of Mexicans chowing down there at any given time. [Photo via]
