Slide #3

Lesson Three: No Wristband, No Entry
That's right, they were assigning wristbands. No, this was not some club in Costa Mesa trying to separate those old enough to drink and those not, this was H&M trying to keep customers calm and avoid mass pandemonium as they opened the doors at 8 am. There were 10 different colors of wristbands distributed to 300 people, the very first ones going to those dedicated crazies that spent the night sleeping outside of the store. Each color wristband dictates when you are granted entry. Of course I arrived moments too late, because I was customer 308, and was left questioning whether they'd let me in or not. The security guards manning the door told me that I'd still be let in, even without the necessary wrist attire, but my expectations for what might be left at that point had already taken a sharp downturn.
